Data Capture and Conversion for Jetty Inspection

Fugro Hong Kong Limited commissioned us to capture and process data from both the upper and lower decks of the Castle Peak Power Station Jetty (“the Jetty”). Our goal was to create panoramic photos and point cloud models for CLP Power Hong Kong Limited, a major electric utility company in Hong Kong, to assist in condition inspections on the Jetty. Our innovative approach utilizes advanced technologies, including the Pano360 device for panoramic imagery and the SLAM2BIM LiDAR device for precise 3D mapping. The Pano360 captures comprehensive 360-degree views, allowing for efficient documentation and interactive analysis. Meanwhile, the SLAM2BIM generates high-accuracy point cloud models essential for detailed structural assessments. To enhance data reliability, Ground Control Points (GCPs) were also established using the Stonex S990A GNSS Receiver, ensuring accurate georeferencing of the point cloud data.
