The Eastern District Health Centre offers region-based primary medical and health services. Through diversified health promotion, disease prevention, health assessment, consultation, chronic disease management (such as hypertension, diabetes, low back pain and knee arthritis, etc.) and community rehabilitation support, it enhances residents' awareness of self-health management and strengthens the participation of individuals and the community. Coordinating and integrating different medical and social sectors can make it more convenient for residents to care for their personal health needs within the community, thereby encouraging citizens to prevent diseases.

The Department of Health has awarded the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation a three-year contract for the operation and service of the Eastern District Health Centre.
