Introduction

In December 2015, the Curriculum Development Council drafted "Continuous Renewal of School Curriculum: Focus, Deepening, Continuity - Overview", which aims to clarify the background, philosophy, leading principles and focus of continuous renewal of school curriculum. Among them, the first item that puts forward the focus of continuous update and development of school curriculum is "promoting STEM education". Under the leadership of Principal Yao, the school has worked together to achieve the goals of the "six recommended strategies" proposed by the Education Bureau, including:

• （i）Update the curriculum in the Science, Technology and Mathematics Education KLA;
• （ii）Enrich student learning activities;
• （iii）Provide learning and teaching resources;
• （iv）Strengthen the professional development of schools and teachers;
• （v）Strengthen collaboration with community partners; and
• （vi）Review and share good examples.

 

It is hoped that students can break through the limitations of their bodies and intelligence and experience attempts that are difficult to make in real life through VR and AR technology. Through interesting classes, we can arouse students' interest in learning science, technology and mathematics, and open up a new world for students' learning experience. Finally, I hope that the students of the elegant school will not be limited by physical limitations, broaden their horizons, catch up with the times, and be more likely to enter the workplace or prepare for further studies in the future.
